This is the Path of Exile 1 (PC) version. The console versions aren't supported.
This app looks for currency flips on the in-game Currency Exchange: spend some Chaos Orbs, trade through another currency, and end up with Divine Orbs worth more than the Chaos you spent. The goal is more Divine, so profits are shown in Divine.
For every currency it tries three ways round:
- Chaos → the currency → Chaos → Divine
- Chaos → Divine → the currency → Divine
- Chaos → the currency → Divine
Already holding Divine Orbs? Once you open Available Trades, click the Divine Orb icon at the top right, next to Starting Amount, to start with Divine instead: Divine → the currency → Chaos → Divine, and so on.
If none of a currency's trips can make at least 1 Divine, it shows the same trips ending back in Chaos instead (for example Chaos → the currency → Chaos), with the profit in Chaos, like +312c. Everything is still sorted by what it's worth in Divine.
Then it shows which ones make a profit.
WARNING! The prices are a rough guess
The prices on this site are not live. Once an hour, the game publishes a summary of the trades people made. For each pair of currencies, this site takes the average price people actually traded at in the last hour that had trades. Usually that's the past hour, but for quiet currencies it can be several hours old.
Think of it like asking "what did apples sell for at the market an hour ago?" It's a good hint, but the price at the stall right now can be different. In particular:
- Prices move. By the time you look, the real price may have changed.
- It's an average. The real price to buy is a bit higher, and the real price to sell is a bit lower. The site starts both at the same average, so most profits you see at first are too good to be true.
- Mistakes skew it. One person selling something for far too little can pull the average off. The site hides the worst cases, but not all of them.
- Fill times are very rough estimates. A time like "~25 min" is only a guess at how long your Competing Trades orders might take, based on how much traded over the last few hours. It can be much faster or much slower. Available Trades are instant.
Always check the real prices in the game and type them in before you trade. The next sections show how.
Quick start
- Open Available Trades from the menu at the top.
- At the top right, pick your league from the dropdown. Click a currency icon next to Starting Amount to choose what to start with, and type how much.
- The top table, Most Profitable Flips, lists the currencies that look profitable, best first.
- Click a currency's name to open its page. Each box is one way round, with the best one on top and highlighted in yellow.
- In the game, open the Currency Exchange and look up the same pairs. Type the real prices into the site (see Fixing a price below).
- If it's still profitable, do the trades in the order the box lists them.
Available Trades vs Competing Trades
The game's Currency Exchange shows two prices for every pair:
- Available Trades is what the game shows normally. These are other players' orders that you can trade with instantly.
- Competing Trades is what the game shows while you hold Alt. That's the price other people are asking. If you post your own order at that price, you wait for someone to take it, and you usually get a better deal.
The site has a page for each. Use Available Trades if you want to trade now, and Competing Trades if you're happy to post orders and wait.
Fixing a price
On a currency's page, every step has a price in its Ratio column, like
379 : 1. To fix it:
- Click the price. A small window opens for that pair. To fix every price in a box at once, click the word Ratio at the top of the column.
- In the game, open the Currency Exchange with the same two currencies.
- Copy the two numbers the game shows, exactly as shown, into the Available Trades boxes.
- Hold Alt in the game, and copy those two numbers into the Competing Trades boxes.
- Close the window with the ×, Esc, or a click outside it. The boxes re-sort so the best one is on top.
Changes save straight away and every profit updates. A price you've changed gets a modified tag.
Prices you change stay changed, even after a reload, until you reset them. Everything else refreshes to the latest hourly average each time you open the site.
If a currency says needs ratios, the site has no price for one of its pairs. On its page, click the No usable data link and type the prices in from the game.
The Rates page
- Rates lists every price, with a search box. You can change any price there too.
- It opens on the Modified tab, the prices you've changed. All shows every price.
- The reset button on a line puts that pair back to the hourly average.
- Reset Manual Changes puts all your changed prices back. It asks first.
- Export saves your changed prices to a file. Import loads a file, for example on another computer or one a friend sent you.
Reading a currency's page
- The top of each box shows the profit (in Divine, plus a little of the currency leftovers are sold for), the gold it costs and roughly how long it takes to fill. Available Trades are instant, so only Competing Trades add time.
- The table lists the trades in order. Want is what you get and Have is what you pay, the same as the game's order form.
- Rows marked leftover sell off small amounts left over from a trade, so they aren't wasted.
- The Trades menu on each row switches that one step between Available and Competing.
- Greyed-out boxes lose money or break even.
Warning tags
A flip lands under Untradeable when it can't really be done:
- no available trades or no competing trades: nobody had orders up for that pair in the last hour.
- not enough available or only 12 available: there weren't enough orders up to fill your whole trade.
- ~3.2 h to fill or won't fill: based on the last few hours, your Competing Trades orders would take more than an hour to be taken, or might never be. Available Trades are instant, so they never get this tag.
- needs ratios: a price is missing. Type it in from the game.
These come from the same hourly summary, so they can be out of date too.
Gold fees
The game charges gold for every exchange trade. The site shows the gold for each trade, but it never takes it out of the profit. Nobody publishes these fees, so they're collected by hand. If a fee is unknown, you'll see a dash instead of a number. If you know it, click a gold amount on a currency's page (or the Gold Cost heading, for all of them at once), or type it in on the Gold Fees page.
Keeping track of a trade
About to do a flip? Click Save trade on that route on the currency's page. My Trades keeps it exactly as it was then (amounts, prices and the expected profit), so you can follow the steps even after the prices here change. When you're done, type in what you actually made to compare it with what was expected, then click the green check at its top right to mark it completed.
Where your changes are saved
Everything you change (prices, gold fees, saved trades, league, starting currency and amounts) is saved in this browser only, separately for each game. There are no accounts. To move your changes to another browser or share them, use Export and Import on the Rates and Gold Fees pages.
